Light

Year 3 have been learning all about Light, how we see things and investigated shadows. Using this knowledge about what shadows are and how they are formed they created plays for their shadow theaters.

Rocks and Soils

Year 3 have learnt about the different types of rocks such as sedimentary, igneous and the names of some rocks. They have also found out where different types of rocks can be found in the UK. Through investigating they learnt which rocks were permeable or impermeable and which were hard or soft. Following on from that they learnt about the different types of soils.

Forces and Magnets

During this topic they learnt all about forces and magnets, that magnets have a north and south pole. They also did some investigating, finding out which objects and materials were magnetic and which were not.
