Autumn 1 2021- We have had a great start in nursery! We have settled in really well and understood the routine. We have been busy exploring with all the different resources indoors and outdoors. We have been practicing mark making in the glitter using our fingers and enjoyed making houses using the wooden blocks. We have been using different sized containers in the water tray outdoors and enjoyed reading different stories.

We have been very busy in Nursery, learning all about Autumn! We have been looking at how leaves change colour and fall of the trees. We learnt that in Autumn there are lots of different coloured leaves. We have used our fine motor skills to thread beads onto branches and created some lovely paintings using conkers. We also had fun manipulating the playdoh to create Autumn leaves.

This week we have been reading the story 'The tiger who came to tea'. We have got lots of different tiger activities for us to explore in nursery. We have enjoyed using our imagination to play in the home corner by making lots of food and tea for the tiger. We have been learning all about pattern in Maths and tried to create some of our own patterns.

We have had lots of fun at our Tiger Tea Party. We iced our own biscuits and the tiger came to visit us!!

This week we have been learning all about 'People who help us'. There are many people who help us such as Doctors, The Police, Dentist, Firefighters and Teachers! In nursery we have had lots of different activities to help us learn about all these people. In the role play area we have got a Doctors surgery where the children have had a fantastic time becoming doctors and making all the teachers feel better! In the outdoor area we have had fire painted on the shower curtain and the children have used spray bottles to put out the fire.

We had an amazing end to our term with our fantastic Christmas party! We also really enjoyed watching a film and wearing our Christmas jumpers!
