How to download Microsoft Teams
In order for the children to login – you will have to download the app Microsoft Teams on to their device. If your child has an Apple device then you will need to download the app from Apple’s Store. If it is an android tablet then you need to download the app from Google Play Store.
If it is a laptop then you can download it from online through https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app , you will be downloading a desktop version. Then just follow the instructions and it will download the app onto the desktop of your laptop or computer.
How to use Microsoft Teams
Please make sure you share the Pupil Protocol with your child, as it is very important that they follow the rules in this protocol. Your child’s teacher is going to show them how to navigate through Microsoft Teams, on a laptop and a tablet/iPad. However, we appreciate some of your children might be too young for this to happen, therefore we will attach a user guide to your child’s class page so you can help them use it at home.
If your child/class bubble is isolating then your child’s teacher will have scheduled a meeting in the Calendar section of Microsoft Teams and all pupils have to do is login and join the meeting.
Daily Timetable
The class teacher or the TA will take a daily register so it is important that your child is ready for the live learning, with their pen or pencil and paper/book.
