  • Y6 Best Attendance for Autumn Term

    Fri 09 Dec 2016 D Withey

Congratulations to Year 6 for winning the attendance prize for the Autumn term. They will be treated to a meal of their choice.

    Well done!

  • Visit from Blackburn Rovers

    Fri 02 Dec 2016

The children enjoyed a visit from Gordon Greer and Scott Wharton on Thursday 24th November. As a school we are trying to improve reading so the children researched the footballers and prepared questions to ask them in our assembly. They enjoyed learning about how they became footballers, what their favourite subjects at school were and their favourite authors.

Take a look at some of our pictures below or visit the Blackburn Rovers website to find our school's video on www.rovers.co.uk

  • Great Attendance

Fri 02 Dec 2016 Mrs Withey

Well done to the whole school. Attendance for the Autumn term so far is 96.2% and this includes absence for Eid.

    Keep it up!

Our school target this year is 96.5% and I think we can beat it.

    Mrs Withey

  • Good bye Mrs Ainsworth

We wish her a very happy retirement and thank her for her hard work and dedication.

  • Children in Need

Fri 18 Nov 2016 Mrs Forsyth

On Friday 18th it will be Children in Need. Brookhouse School will be supporting this charity day. The children have been invited to come to school with the theme of 'Spots and Odd Socks!' The 'Spots' idea is one associated with Pudsey Bear and the 'Odd Socks' was a suggestion from the children themselves which came through the School Council.

Join us for our Golden Assembly this Friday to see the children dressed in 'Spots and Odd Socks!'

  • School Council Represent the School on Remembrance Day

    Fri 11 Nov 2016
School Council visited Corporation Park's War Memorial on the eleventh day of the eleventh hour of the eleventh month. They observed the two minutes silence and paid their respects to all those who have made sacrifices to ensure we are free to live the lives we lead today. They also placed the poppy wreaths on the Memorial which were made by all the children in school. Members of the public also commented on the children's level of respect and expressed their gratitude that the school took time out to mark this worthy occasion.
