A big ‘THANK YOU’ to all parents who attended the fantastic SAFER INTERNET DAY assembly by our lovely Year 4 class. As many parents stated, the assembly was extremely informative and provided useful advice to ensure children:
• Are careful about the information they share and view online;
• Think twice before communicating with strangers – always seeking the advice/permission of an adult before doing so;
• Use good manners when communicating with others.
During the assembly, I shared one example of an online platform that children use to play games with: Roblox.
I have included some information on the back of a letter which has been sent home with children, to help parents ensure their children are playing safely when they are using the internet. Please note, although this advice is specific to Roblox, it is also relevant when children are using the internet in general.
We hope this information is useful to you. Thank you for your ongoing support in ensuring children are able to use the internet safely.
Kind regards,
Mr. H. Asghar
Deputy Headteacher
