In light of the recent events surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak and following on from the Government Announcement on Wednesday 18th March 2020, school will be closed from Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice.
We understand this is a worrying and anxious time for both children and their family members, and you, as parents and carers, are keen to continue your children's education at home. On this page you will find regular updates on how you can support your nursery or preschool child with their learning.
Remember, a lot of learning in Early Years is completed through stories, songs, rhymes, games and play so hopefully you will have fun whilst supporting your child with their learning!
Young children need a lot of repetition to help them learn. In nursery and preschool we use the same book or rhyme for 2 weeks to support the children's learning and then revisit them again regularly. If your child has a favourite story, rhyme, song or game do not worry about repeating it, they will still be learning.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Look after yourselves, stay safe and we look forward to seeing the children and their families back at school soon.
Mrs Leyland and the nursery and preschool team.
Learning Tasks 6th April 2020 - 19th April 2020
As these two weeks would have been the Easter holidays there will be no new learning tasks posted for these two weeks. However, please feel free to look at previous home learning tasks and revisit those activities with the children.
New tasks will be set for Monday 20th April 2020.
